{five on friday} 3.5.10

well, well, well, another Friday is upon us! It's crazy how fast the weeks go by... I must be getting old.

{one} rock chalk.
I don't know if you saw it, but my Jayhawks kicked some major butt on Wednesday night, and beat those Wildcats all the way back to Manhattan! It was senior night for Sherron Collins, and after a rocky start he finished STRONG. KU is really going to miss this guy next year, he is such a rock star. This win sealed the deal on the Big 12 Champion for the Jayhawks, now all that's left is the tourney...and I have a feeling we're gonna rock that too! :)

{two} chop, chop.
so, I got my hair cut last night. I considered chopping some serious inches off, but the husband and mother would probably both disown me. So instead I opted for less chopping, but I did get bangs. Something I've never had before. I'm not sure how I feel about them yet...I know that I constantly feel like I have something on my forehead though. Give me a few days and I'll let you know if they've grown on me (hehe, get it? grown? oh I am so funny...).

{three} viva las vegas
you thought I wasn't going to mention it...ha! Only 4 MORE DAYS!!!!!!! We are getting pretty excited here in the G household. This time next week I will be attempting to recover from what promises to be an amazing trip with my hubby and 5 of our closest friends. There's not much more I can say about this trip that I haven't said already...other than I AM SO EXCITED (wait, I think I may have said that before...)

{four} i want him
My super amazing awesome wedding photographer, Josh Solar, regularly visits Wayside Waifs to photograph animals up for adoption. Every time I see these blog posts, I wind up falling in love with one of the dogs posted... and every time I come home and say "Hunny, will you just look at this dog up for adoption?! We NEED it, Daisy NEEDS it. Pretty please?!" and every time I get a "no, hunny, we don't need another dog right now." *sigh* So, not like I have a chance or anything, but check out this adorable guy named Davey. He's a Jack Russel (just like Daisy!), and I'm pretty sure we NEED him!! Somehow I doubt Matt will agree... (Check out Josh's full blog post here)

{five} yum.
Remember that blog I told you about last week, Pioneer Woman? Well. I tried one of her recipes the other night (this one to be exact), and holy moly was it good. Funny thing is, I don't like much of anything in this recipe (like the onions, the black olives, the green chilies...) but I loved these enchiladas! So did the hubs (although I pretty much have him trained to like everything I cook :). I will definitely be trying more of her recipes in the future, and I can't wait!

And now I'm hungry. Happy Friday!

P.S. The blog header got a bit of a facelift with some of my more recent favorite photos...what do you think?
