{4 months}

Our girl is 4 months old already, can you believe it?!  I don't know where the time goes.  This has been the most fun month of all so far, and I have a feeling every month from now on is going to be even more fun.  Lilly continues to be a rock star baby, sleeping like it's her job, and making us laugh all. the. time.  She is becoming so much more interactive, I love it!  She reaches and grabs onto toys now, is rolling over both from front to back and back to front {although not very consistently...she just has certain days where she decides to do it, and certain days where she doesn't...typical female :)}, she laughs and giggles all the time, and loves sticking her tongue out and blowing raspberries.  She is just so much fun right now!

This month also marked another first ~ her first vacation!  We made the drive down to Texas to see family over the fourth of July, and she did AWESOME.  Like, if there was an award for Best Baby Road Tripper - I'm pretty sure she would win it.  I have tons of pictures to share from our trip, so more on that later. :)

Stats ~    15 lbs 2 oz {80th percentile}

            25" long {75th percentile}
            16 3/8" head circumference {75th percentile}

Size ~  I finally gave in and packed away all the newborn size clothes (but let's not kid ourselves, she stopped wearing that stuff before 3 months!).  She is currently still wearing some 0-3 month size, and moving into 3-6 month for the most part.  Some of the things I have in 6 months size already fit her! {by the way, Carters: why do you only have 3 month and 6 month sizes?  What about 4 & 5?  And if I go by weight, why is my kid at 6 months already?! I know she's chunky, but really??)

Sleeping ~ still a rock star in this department.  She'll sleep an average of 12 hours a night...a little less on weeknights because we have to wake her up in the mornings before work.  She was amazingly kind to us on vacation and slept until 8:30, even 9:00 a couple times!!  I have read about the "4 Month Sleep Regression" that a lot of babies go through, where they become impossible to put to bed and start waking up a million times a night - I am hope hope hoping that we don't go through this.  I am SPOILED when it comes to sleep.  And I would prefer to keep it that way.  Thankyouverymuch.  She still sleeps in the RNP in our room...yeah, no progress on that transition just yet. :)

Eating ~  she nurses once in the morning when she wakes up, takes 3 bottles (4 oz each) of pumped milk at Grandma's during the day, and then nurses 2-3 additional times at home in the evening.  Our pediatrician says we can start cereal, she recommends around 5 months - I think we will skip it all together, and start real food somewhere around 5 or 6 months, when she's ready.

Likes ~ all of her toys (like I said, she is reaching and grabbing for them now, and can hold them and play with them - aka put them straight in her mouth.  They are much more entertaining to her now, that's for sure), peek-a-boo, Daddy's animal noises, the jumparoo (or whatever those things are called), bath time, dogs

Dislikes ~ if you can't tell from the pictures, this girl is one happy baby.  The only times she really fusses are when she's tired or hungry.  Can you blame her?!  She also did not enjoy her 2nd round of shots, but just like at 2 months she was quickly calmed with some snuggles and nursing.  She was smiling again before we even left the doctor's office.

Current Nicknames ~ Boog, boogaboo, boogabooski {don't ask me where these come from}, Lilly Bean, and the newest from her Texas fan club: Lilly boo-boo
